If Apple’s getting the iSlate, then Microsoft has got a HP “slate”, a tablet computer from HP equipped with the Microsoft Windows 7 operating system. Unlike the previous HP tablets computers that comes with a keyboard and a display that can be rotated 180-degrees, the HP Slate is a full touchscreen device that looks pretty much like an ebook reader. No further information has been given regarding the HP slate, except that it relies on capacitive touch that supports multi-touch, and could be powered by an x86-based processor and has an accelerometer. I know the picture of the HP slate above looks old-fashion and ugly; hit the jump for the official video and pictures of the announcement in the 2010 CES.
